Jouannou Farmhouse
A family-owned rustic farmhouse with pool overlooking sunflower fields in the heart of Southwest France
The House
This charming stone farmhouse has been a cherished part of our family for over thirty-five years. It is the perfect setting to unwind, and our home has played host to many long, sunny holidays with friends and family.
Tastefully decorated with comfortable furnishings and a fully-equipped kitchen, the house comfortably sleeps up to eight guests across four bedrooms (three doubles and one twin) and three modern bathrooms. Inside and out, you’ll find generous communal spaces designed for lingering over long meals and good conversation.
Set within four acres of natural gardens, the property offers breathtaking views of the rustic French landscape. Flanked by two historic barns, the house also boasts a stunning, modern swimming pool, beautifully landscaped within a private walled garden.
The Local Area
Jouannou is located just minutes from the picturesque hilltop town of Monflanquin. Recognized as one of the most beautiful medieval villages in France, it once served as a stronghold for the Black Prince during the Hundred Years' War. Today, Monflanquin offers a vibrant selection of restaurants, cafes, and convenient supermarkets, all within easy reach.
While away your afternoons exploring local markets, historic châteaux, and hidden culinary gems in the neighbouring villages. For those with an adventurous spirit, the Lot River is only a thirty-minute drive away, offering kayaking, cave explorations, and a variety of outdoor pursuits. Best of all, travel is effortless, with Bergerac Airport located less than an hour from the front door.
