Guests booking at Jouannou Farmhouse (the Premises) agree to the following terms and conditions. Check in is from 4pm onwards and check out is by 10am. Provisional bookings are accepted on the basis that the deposit is received within 7 days, otherwise the booking may be cancelled by the Owners with no further notice. A 25% deposit is payable by the Guests to the Owners by bank transfer upon booking (and submission of the Booking Form). The 75% balance is payable by bank transfer no less than 30 days before arrival. If a booking is made less than 30 days before the start of the holiday, the full amount due is payable immediately to confirm the booking.
In addition, a refundable security deposit of £500 is payable by bank transfer with the balance payment (or immediately for bookings made less than 30 days before arrival). This is separate from the 25% booking deposit and is held against damage, missing items or additional cleaning beyond our standard changeover clean. The security deposit will be refunded within 7 days of departure, less any reasonable deductions (itemised and supported where relevant by photos and/or receipts/quotes). If costs exceed the security deposit, Guests remain responsible for the excess. Our standard changeover clean includes a thorough clean by our contractor and laundering of towels and bed linen, and assumes the Premises are left in a reasonable state (including washing up/emptying the dishwasher and disposing of rubbish appropriately). Extra cleaning may be charged where required (for example excessive mess or staining, BBQ left dirty, unusual rubbish left behind, or soiled appliances/soft furnishings beyond normal use).
The Owners reserve the right to refuse entry to the Premises if full payment has not been received, and to cancel the booking and re-let the Premises to alternative guests if the payment terms mentioned herein are not adhered to. If you need to cancel your booking, you will forfeit a proportion of your payment. Cancellation up to 21 days prior, 60% is forfeited; up to 7 days prior, 80% if forfeited; the Owners regret they cannot make a refund if you cancel within 7 days of your arrival. The maximum capacity of the house is 8 people. The number of Guests in your party will not exceed this maximum amount unless the Owners agree otherwise with you in writing. The Premises must be vacated by 10am on the final day of your stay. You must leave the Premises clean and tidy and inform the Owners of any breakages, loss or damage. You may only have dogs in the Premises if specifically agreed to in writing by the Owners. Smoking within the interior of the Premises is strictly prohibited. The Premises can be used solely for its purpose as a self-catering holiday accommodation and Guests accept the Owner’s right to refuse entry to the Premises for any person considered unsuitable to take charge. The Owners shall not be held responsible or liable for any accident, loss or mishap to any persons or property whilst on or using the Premises, or from any illness or injury arising from any cause whatsoever. Guests must ensure that children are not be left unattended near the pool. You accept that should the Premises become unavailable or unsuitable for letting, the Owner’s liability shall be limited to the amount of rent paid.
